A one of a kind cheerful pouch bag with no two bags the same!!
The pouch bag is in Ichimatsu pattern to enjoy the bright colour contrast.
It can hold wallet or small items, which makes it a handy bag as a second clutch bag or as a bag-in-bag.

I met this gorgeous but simple obi in Kyoto, and it had made me think how to bring it to life.
When I get stuck with new ideas, I ask the obi "What do you want to be?"

The outer material of the bag is woven with silver and red thread in Ichimatsu (checkered) pattern.
The handle on the side is used vintage gold obijime (decorative string used to hold kimono sash in place).
The lining of the bag is yellow cotton broadcloth with orange fastener and inner pocket to enjoy the colour contrast with obi material.
The size of pocket can hold postcard, bankbook or passport.

Material
The material used for the front is from a vintage chemical fiber obi.
The lining of the pouch is hand sewn in cotton.
All other material is brand new.
A thick number 4 fastener has been used.

Pettit information: What is Ichimatsu Moyo (checkered pattern)?
This came from the pattern of hakama (a long pleated skirt worn over a kimono) worn by the first Kabuki actor, Mr. Ichimatsu Sanogawa, from Edo era (1586-1191).

 In order to upgrade the quality, we are committed to handmade sewing.

　　●All products are sewed with thick yarn to stitch denim (20s).
　　●All thread ends are made knots in the back.
　　●The lining is carefully stitched with hem stitch followed by back stitch to protect from the lining to be caught in fastener.

☆Sewing process of pouch☆

①Attach fastener and brand name plate.  (sample picture from 14002)

②Sew around the bag then attach the obijime handle. (partly using picture from 14002)

③Sewed up outer material and lining.

④Join the lining to the finished outer material by hem stitch followed by back stitch.
